INDONESIA - The Ministry of Health has announced two new confirmed cases of human infection with avian influenza A H5N1The first case is a five-year old girl from Bangli district in Bali Province, who developed symptoms on 27 September and died on 9 October. The second case is a 10-year old boy, the brother of the first case. He developed symptoms on 30 September and died on 10 October.
Of the 181 cases confirmed to date in Indonesia, 149 have been fatal.
